Behavior Policy



General Misbehavior
MLS follows a zero tolerance policy. General misbehavior includes the use of foul or disrespectful language, incidents of fighting, bullying, intimidation, threats, any type of physical aggression, or smoking.

First Time Offense: Parents will be immediately notified. The student will receive a warning letter, and two days of out-of- school suspension will be administered. This letter is to be signed and kept in the student's file.

Second Time Offense: Parents will be immediately notified. The student will receive a second warning letter, and one week of out-of-school suspension will be administered.

Third Time Offense: Expulsion

Late Arrivals & Tardiness

Students should arrive at school before 7:50 a.m. The first class bell rings at 7:45 a.m.
The school gates close at 8:00a.m. sharp. Any arrivals after that time are considered late.
Late arrivals (between 8:00a.m. and before 8:15a.m.) will result in the following actions.
First Time: A warning will be issued, and the student will not be able to attend the first class.
Second Time: A phone call and a written notice will be sent to the parents; in addition, the student will not be able to attend the first class and the attendance grades of the first period will be deducted.
Third time: Student will not be allowed to school, he/she will be sent home, and it will be considered as an unexcused absence.
